Why We Started The House of Ros
Back in 2014, when we became young parents at 19, someone close to us said it would be a great time to start a blog and document our journey.
At the time, we didn’t really see it that way.
Life felt overwhelming. We were learning how to be parents, building our lives in London, and adjusting to adulthood faster than we expected. Starting a blog felt like something “other people” did, not us.
So we didn’t do it.

Looking Back
Looking back now, we sometimes think it could have been a beautiful way to document those early years — the lessons, the mistakes, the growth, the chaos and the joy.
But maybe we simply weren’t ready then.
More Than a Decade Later
Now, more than a decade later, we are 31, raising two wonderful children with quite a big age gap — an 11‑year‑old and a toddler.
Life looks different. We’re more settled, more reflective, and more aware of how quickly time passes.

Life Today
We travel when we can.
We explore when life allows it.
We work hard, we learn, and we continue growing as parents and as people.
Over the years, we’ve realised how many things we’ve figured out the hard way.
Parenting decisions.
Travel mistakes.
Everyday lifestyle choices.
Lessons that only make sense once you’ve lived through them.
Why This Blog Exists
If sharing our experiences can help even one person — whether that’s another parent, a young couple, or a family navigating daily life — then this blog is worth it.
The House of Ros isn’t about pretending we have all the answers.
It’s about documenting the journey as it really is — family life, travel experiences, and the everyday lifestyle moments in between.
A New Chapter
This is a new chapter for us.

We don’t know exactly where this will take us.
Maybe it will grow.
Maybe it will stay small.
Maybe it will evolve into something we haven’t imagined yet.
But we do know one thing.
We didn’t want to look back in another ten years and think:
“We should have tried.”
So here we are.
Welcome to The House of Ros.
